Inhalation Route Limits
The inhalation (vaporization) route has the highest daily THC allotment in Florida's rolling supply system:
- Daily limit: 350 mg THC
- 70-day supply: 24,500 mg THC
- This route alone can reach the aggregate non-smokable cap
Note: This route is separate from smokable flower, which has its own 35-day rolling period.
Product Types
Vape Cartridges
Pre-filled cartridges in 510-thread or proprietary formats. Available in distillate, live resin, live rosin, and full-spectrum formulations. Cartridge sizes typically range from 0.3g to 1g. This is one of the most popular product categories for convenience and discretion.
Disposable Vape Pens
All-in-one devices with a battery and pre-filled cartridge. Ready to use with no separate battery needed. Available from most Florida MMTCs in various strains and formulations.
Concentrates for Vaporization
Higher-potency products designed for use with personal vaporizer devices:
- Live rosin — Solventless extract, considered premium quality
- Live resin — Hydrocarbon extract preserving fresh terpene profiles
- Shatter — Glass-like concentrate for dabbing
- Wax/budder — Softer consistency concentrates
- Distillate — Highly refined THC extract, often 85%+ potency
No Potency Cap
Concentrate potency in Florida is not capped by percentage. Products commonly reach 80–95% THC. The rolling supply system tracks total milligrams dispensed, not product strength. New patients should exercise caution with high-potency concentrates and consider starting with lower-dose options.
Pricing
Vape cartridge prices in Florida typically range from $30–$60 for a 0.5g cartridge and $50–$80 for 1g. Live rosin and specialty concentrates command premium pricing. Many dispensaries offer regular promotions and loyalty discounts.
