Florida Cannabis Action Network (FLCAN)

Florida's longest-running cannabis advocacy organization, founded in 1998. A volunteer-driven 501(c) nonprofit, FLCAN hosts the annual "Cannabis @ the Capitol" event and focuses on ending prohibition through public education and political engagement.

Smart & Safe Florida

The primary political committee driving recreational legalization via ballot initiative. Backed overwhelmingly by Trulieve funding, Smart & Safe Florida managed the $145 million Amendment 3 campaign in 2024 and the subsequent 2026 initiative effort.

WISE Florida

A nonpartisan nonprofit modeled after the women who fought to end alcohol prohibition. WISE focuses on building broad public support for cannabis reform through community engagement and public education.

Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM)

Headquartered in Orlando, M4MM operates across 27 state chapters and runs programs including Project Clean Slate (expungement assistance) and Cultura Elevada (Spanish-language cannabis education). Focuses on equity and access for minority communities.

Florida Medical Marijuana Business Association (MMBAFL)

Advocates for MMTC licensees from Tallahassee with daily legislative engagement. Represents the interests of licensed medical marijuana businesses in Florida.

Florida Medical Marijuana Trade Association (FMMTA)

Founded in February 2024, FMMTA represents major operators including AYR Wellness, Curaleaf, Fluent, and Verano. Focuses on industry policy and regulatory engagement.

Florida Healthy Alternatives Association (FHAA)

Represents the hemp-derived products industry, which generates over $1 billion annually in Florida. Advocates for reasonable hemp regulation and opposes restrictive legislation.
